Best books about forgiveness
There are many other great books about forgiveness but in this article I will share with you only 15 books that I have found the best on this topic. I hope these books will help you to forgive others.
1: The Storyteller (Buy now)
The Storyteller book was written by Jodi Picoult. This story starts out with a girl named Sage Singer. She is a baker and she works at night and makes bread, cake, and things like that for a bakery.
Jodi Picoult has sold millions of copies of her books. She has quite a kind of tried and tested formula of taking a key hot-button issue.
Then some really kind hearted characters sort of a family or a community and explode the issue out from their really twisty turny plot.
If that is what you love and you are devoted to deepika. I’m sure that you will kind of really engage with this book.
2: Because of Mr. Terupt (Buy Now)
Because of mr. Terupt is the children’s novel written by Rob Buyea. This book is all about seven students Shine When, Daniel, The Pushover Jeffrey, The Slacker Alexia, The Queen Bee Loop, The Brain Jessica, and The New World Putative.
They had never gotten along a fourth and third and second till mr.Terupt comes and fixes them up. Then mr.Terupt suffers a terrible accident. So, on a scale of one to five I would give it five stars to this book.
Because it’s a very good book. It has 268 pages. I finished this book about three days ago and I really thought that it was really one of the great books about forgiveness.
3: Heart of the Matter (Buy Now)
The Heart of the Matter is written by an English author Emily Giffin. This book was very very different from her other works or the other books that I’ve read. This book deals with very serious situations.
Because it covers the whole topic about marriage. And what you would do to save it. Like if something happens in your relationship then would you forgive and forget, or would you try to move on, or would you try to fix it, or would you just up and leave.
Based on the certain decisions that are made in this story I find that very different. Emily decides to take a more serious note and try to find another aspect of marriage.
Note: If you are experiencing any uncertainty, crisis, or bad time in your life then I will encourage you to enroll in the Teal Swan’s online course “How to thrive in a crisis?”
This course will provide you so many practical and empowering tools, resources, and solutions to actively face the crisis directly and become aware of what is truly important to you to actually create the life you want to live.
I highly recommend this course for those who have gone through or are going through a crisis as well as mental health professionals supporting individuals in crisis. Now come back to the topic.
4: The Language of Flowers (Buy Now)
The Language of Flowers by Sheila Pickles is a kind of a guide to different varieties of flowers and their meanings.
In this book every flower has an accompanying painting and a piece of text that kind of explains where the name comes from and what the flower means.
In the introduction She explains that especially in Victorian times giving flowers has a very specific and important meaning.
There were some things that I didn’t really like when I was reading this book. It seems like sometimes she had to struggle to find a poem that would match the flower.
But overall the core message of this book is very beautiful. So, you should definitely read this book.
5: Touching Spirit Bear (Buy Now)
‘Touching Spirit Bear’ by Ben Mikaelsen is a book about a boy named Cole Matthews Tips. He has been fighting and stealing for years and recently his latest crime is smashing Peter Driscoll’s skull into the sidewalk.

If that works out he might be able to avoid a lengthy jail sentence. So, once on the island Cole runs into this big white bear that everyone calls the spirit bear.
Cole is uneasy, because for the first time something has not been afraid of him. So, he attacks the bear and the bear injures him badly.
But Cole finds out that the Bear’s injuries are the cause of all his internal scars or he leaves the island the worst man than how he was when he came.
If I could choose one word to describe this book I would choose masterpiece. This book is one of the best books I have ever read. I simply love the rich part of this book.
The character development is unbelievable and the way the author hooks you in draws you back and tells you about the close past with flashbacks and all the different elements the writing of the story is unbelievable.
6: No Future Without Forgiveness (Buy Now)
The book “No Future Without Forgiveness” is written by Desmond Tutu. This book is all about forgiveness and letting go.
There are many things in life which we couldn’t do without or could do a great deal more of. And one of those is forgiveness. This is the core message of this book.
Can you imagine how quickly our world would fall apart if there is simply no forgiveness. Forgiveness is essential as the bees are to our survival.
The author explains the importance of forgiveness in detail in this book. You should read this book.
7: Things You Save in a Fire (Buy now)
This is a beautiful hardcover book written by Katherine Center. The leading character of this book is a girl who is a firefighter, named Cassie Hanwell.
She is a firefighter in Texas and she’s winning the huge award for valor. She’s sitting in the banquet hall ready to stand up. As she’s worked so hard to be a firefighter her whole life.
When she gets up on stage the person giving her the award is not the mayor as it was supposed to be. But it was the councilman of that city. Instead of shaking his hand she ends up beating him across the head and knocking him unconscious.
At the same time this happens her mom calls and her mom tries to convince her to move to the East Coast to help around take care of her. So, she’s her daughter who’s estranged to live with her so these two coincide.
Culture of firefighters in Massachusetts is much different than she’s used to in Texas. They’ve never had a woman firefighter in this department. She feels like she constantly has to prove herself but it doesn’t help that at the same time that she is hired as a new firefighter.
This is a short overview of this book. Overall this was such a great book I’ve been recommending to all of my friends.
8: Horrible Bear! (Buy now)
The book ‘Horrible Bear’ was written by Ame Dyckman and illustrated by Zachariah OHora. This is the New York Times best selling book. This book is all about emotions.
The message of this book is, a lot of things are not always what they seem. Some mistakes might be made on purpose to which we react. And we don’t really take time to actually stop and think maybe it was an accident.
So, this is a good story to know that things do happen for an accident sometimes nothing is ever on purpose.
Next thing we can do is definitely try to fix our problems by using these words, hey I don’t like that, hey can you please stop, that can you please fix it, because our words are more powerful than anything. So, you should read this book.

10: Forgive and Forget (Buy now)
Forgive and Forget is one of the best books about forgiveness I ever read. This book was written by Lewis B. Smedes. As the name of this book is “Forgive and Forget” this is also all about forgiveness.
The author says that if you forgive others then it will open the door of freedom for you. Or if you don’t forgive others then it will damage both of your life and health.
If you want to be happy, well learn to forgive. What type of things should you forgive, forgive as much as you can. You may not forget everything but you can forgive everything. Because forgiving is easier than forgetting. Everyone should read this book.
11: The Light Between Oceans (Buy now)
Light between oceans was written by M. L. Stedman. He tells the story of a lighthouse keeper who desperately wants a child but keeps having miscarriages. Then one day when a baby washes ashore in a boat.
The couple racked with indecision about whether or not to keep the child and claim that it’s their own. Setting old times which you can tell from the washed-out sepia tone of the paper that it’s printed on the book.
It’s extremely visually conjuring almost to the point where you can see the action happening right before your eyes ‘as they are projected onto some sort of screen’. This is an amazing book.
12: Choosing Forgiveness: Your Journey to Freedom (Buy now)
Choosing Forgiveness, book was written by Nancy Leigh DeMoss. If you are searching to understand and to learn about forgiveness then you should read this book.
This was one of the best books about forgiveness I have ever read. Nancy Leigh De Moss as usual takes a subject and goes right to the heart of the matter.
I would recommend this book to anyone, especially those who are struggling with forgiveness.
13: For One More Day (Buy now)
For One More Day by Mitch Albom, is a story of a guy who is always chasing the wrong thing. His name is Charley Benetto. His parents got divorced. As a boy his father made him choose between him and his mother.

Years later after his mother has died his life comes apart. He is an alcoholic. He leaves his family. And one night he decides to kill himself. He goes back to a small hometown.
He sort of staggers back into his old house which he thinks is abandoned. He finds to his shock that his mother is still living there. As if she never died, as if she never left.
What follows is the one last magical day that he gets to have with his mother. They talk with each other and she shows some things about his life he never knew about his father and her. That he never understood the mystery of whether he lives or died.
The main concept of this book is If you only had one more day with your mother and your father how would you spend it? What would you do? Would you be the same as you always were? Would you demand to know certain things? Would you apologize?
For One More Day the book explores all of that and it really takes on the idea of mothers and sons which hasn’t been written about a lot. And it tackles the issue of what divorce really does to all the participants of the family. You should read this book.
14: The Last Song (Buy now)
The Last Song is a novel by American author Nicholas Sparks published in 2009. It is a story about the life of a girl named Ronnie Miller’s who, after the separation of her parents, faces emotional problems.
The most heart touching line of this book is “Life, he realized, was much like a song. In the beginning there is a mystery, in the end there is confirmation, but it’s in the middle where all the emotion resides to make the whole thing worthwhile.”
The story in this book is really fascinating. It is a romantic novel and full of emotions. So, you should read this book.
15: A Reliable Wife (Buy now)
A reliable wife by Robert, starts from describing a scene in 1880. In a small town where a man is standing next to a train station waiting for a woman that he has advertised for in the Chicago newspapers.
And it becomes immediately apparent within the first few pages that he has lied to her. She’s also lied to him and now they’re going to try to make a life together.
It just gets more twisted from there every time throughout the book that you think. It is a very interesting examination of life and of how people’s minds work and a lot of internal information about sort of insanity.
This is last book of my list of books about forgiveness. I hope you will enjoy this article. Also read my previous article in which I had shared the list of best self help books. Don’t forget to share your favourite book with us in the comments.
